This is the one privacy policy for everything Ghost Labs, LLC ("Ghost Labs," "we," "us," or "our") makes: this website, our apps and online services (including Ravenwood, Ravenwood Cloud, Tidy Task & Loot and Maven BabelFish), anything we release later, and our services work. The general sections apply to all of them. The product sections near the end add what's specific to a product.
The short version
We collect only what we need to run what you use, answer you, sell to you and support what you bought. We don't sell personal information, show ads, use advertising cookies, or use your content to train AI models. This website counts visits without cookies, and sets analytics cookies only if you say yes (details).
1. What we collect
- When you contact us. Your name, email address or phone number, and what you write, so we can reply and follow up.
- When you buy. Your name, email address, billing details and what you bought. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we receive the payment's status, amount and the card's last four digits, never the full number. App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple or Google, who share only what they need to with us, such as a subscription's status.
- Accounts and content in our online services. What a product needs to sign you in and hold your work, described in its product section below.
- Diagnostics. If you allow it in your device's settings, anonymized crash and performance data from Apple or Google, so we can fix bugs.
- Client work. Information you give us during a services engagement, handled as your agreement with us says.
- Visiting this site. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which, like any web host, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the service. We don't receive or keep those logs. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and gives us totals (pages viewed, referring sites, country, browser and device type, page speed), not who you are. If you accept the banner, we also use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics, which set cookies to show how pages are used, such as where people click and scroll, with Clarity masking what you type. We turn off their advertising features. If you say no, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, they don't load. Change your analytics choice.
2. How we use it
To provide and secure our products; to answer questions and provide support; to take payment, send receipts and invoices, and keep the records tax law requires; to deliver and license what you bought; and to understand overall use (such as how many accounts are on each plan). We email you about your purchases and accounts, not marketing, unless you ask for it.
3. Who else handles it
- Stripe processes card payments.
- Apple and Google handle purchases in their stores, and Apple's iCloud syncs Tidy Task & Loot between your family's devices.
- Cloudflare hosts Ravenwood Cloud and stores its workspace data.
- Sign-in providers (Google, Microsoft, GitHub, Apple) confirm who you are when you sign in with them.
- AI tools you connect receive what you let them read, under their own terms and privacy policies.
- GitHub hosts this website, and our email providers carry our messages.
- Cloudflare, Microsoft and Google provide this website's analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics) as described in Section 1.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people or our services from harm, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
4. How long we keep it
Content in our products is kept as each product section says. Correspondence is kept as long as it's useful for supporting you, and no longer than 24 months unless the law requires more. Purchase and invoice records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Ask us to delete anything else and we will.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by writing to contact@ghost-labs.com. Depending on where you live (for example California, or the European Economic Area and the UK), you may have further rights, including to object to or restrict some processing and to complain to your data protection authority. We'll answer within the time the law sets. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Children
Our products are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Tidy Task & Loot is set up and managed by parents or guardians, and keeps family content on the family's own devices and iCloud (see its section). If you believe a child has contacted us directly, write to contact@ghost-labs.com and we'll delete it.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, encryption at rest where we store content, limited access and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
8. International users
Ghost Labs is in the United States, and our providers may process data in other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
9. Changes
We'll post any change here and update the date at the top. For a change that matters, we'll also tell you in the product or by email before it takes effect.
10. Ravenwood and Ravenwood Cloud
Ravenwood Cloud is ravenwood.app, its workspaces, the Ravenwood apps connected to them and each workspace's AI connector.
- Your account. When you sign in with Google, Microsoft, GitHub, Apple or another provider we support, we receive your name, your email address and the provider's account identifier. We never see your password.
- Your workspaces. What you and your team put in them: boards, items, notes, history, Checklist steps, contacts and anything you import. Workspace content is encrypted at rest. Pro and Team owners can add a workspace lock with their own passphrase; while it's locked, Ghost Labs can't read the locked words, and if the passphrase and recovery key are both lost, nobody can.
- Membership, plans and agreements. Which workspaces you belong to and your role, each workspace's plan and seats, when you were last active, and which version of our End User License Agreement you agreed to and when.
- Email to task. If a workspace turns on email to task, mail sent to it becomes items. We keep the sender's address, the message and its attachments (encrypted, like the rest of the workspace), and a record of each message we acted on so the same email never makes two items. Mail from a sender the workspace doesn't accept yet waits for a member to accept or ignore it, and is deleted after 30 days.
- Customer updates. If you add a customer's email address to an item, Ravenwood keeps it on that item, sends them the updates you choose to send, and adds their replies to the same item. Only add people you have permission to email.
- Email from us. We email the address you sign in with about your account and workspaces, such as reminders before a free trial ends.
- Feedback. If you send a bug report or feature request, its text, any screenshots you attach, your email address and the workspace it came from.
- Technical data. Cloudflare processes the requests your browser and apps make, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service. For rate limits we keep only a keyed hash of your IP address, not the address itself.
- Cookies. Only cookies the service needs: a session cookie that keeps you signed in (30 days, renewed as you use it), short-lived cookies that protect each sign-in, and, in the Ravenwood apps, a cookie that tells the site which app is showing it. No analytics or advertising cookies in your workspaces, the apps, or anywhere you are signed in. The public front page at ravenwood.app counts visits the same way this website does (see Visiting this site), and sets analytics cookies only if you say yes.
- Keeping and deleting. Workspace content is kept until an owner deletes it. A deleted workspace can be restored for 7 days, then it is erased. Owners can export a workspace as JSON or Markdown at any time. Your account details are kept while you belong to a workspace; ask us and we'll delete them. Feedback is kept until we've dealt with it and archived it.
Ravenwood's terms are in the EULA (Section 11.2), and canceling and refunds in the Refund and cancellation policy.
11. Tidy Task & Loot
Everything your family creates in Tidy Task & Loot lives on your devices and in your family's private iCloud. We don't run analytics in the app, and we have no way to see your family's chores, photos, profiles or loot points.
- Family content, on your devices and in your iCloud only. Family profiles (names, avatars and optional PIN codes), chores and routines, photo proof, approval history and loot balances, and Loot Shop items. Ghost Labs has no access to any of it.
- Camera and photos. Photo proof is captured live from inside the app, which doesn't read your camera roll or photo library. A timestamp is burned into each photo to prevent cheating. Photos stay on the device that took them and sync through your iCloud to your household's devices; they're never sent to Ghost Labs or anyone else. You can delete any photo in the app, and revoke camera access in your device's settings (the app keeps working for chores without photos).
- From Apple. If you opt in through your device's settings, anonymized crash and diagnostic data; and aggregated, non-personal install statistics in Apple's developer dashboard.
- Kids. Parents and guardians control kids' profiles, photo proof and Loot Shop items in the app and can delete them at any time. Ghost Labs doesn't collect, store or process personal information about the children in your household.
- Keeping and deleting. Family content stays on your devices and in your iCloud until you delete it or uninstall the app; you can manage it in the app or in your iCloud settings. We never use it for machine-learning training.
